Medicare Bulk Billed The Child Dental Benefits Scheme

At Total Care Dental, we cover up to $1,095 over 2 calendar years for basic dental services under CDBS. The cap amount is reset yearly on 1 January. The increase in cap amount will only apply to a child or teenager who received their first eligible service in that calendar year. The services we’ll cover include any of these:
  • Check-ups
  • X-ray
  • Cleaning
  • Fissure sealing
  • Fillings
  • Root Canals
  • Extractions
Your child can get CDBS when all of the following applies, They’re eligible for Medicare, They’re between 0 and 17 years old for at least one day that calendar year, You or they get an eligible payment at least once that calendar year.

Our Health Fee For Service Scheme

The Oral Health Fee for Service Scheme (OHFFSS) is a partnership between the Oral Health Service and private dentists. There are over 200 dentists taking part in this scheme in Illawarra Shoalhaven. This partnership helps provide clinical services to patients in need.
